Creating a Face Using Coloured Pencils (FR)
Create an ultra-realistic portrait! In this two-hour workshop, you will explore a variety of techniques to produce harmonious skin tones: mixing cold and warm colours, layering techniques, transition colours, etc. Julie will share all her tips and tricks! A workshop that allows you to enter the world of portrait drawing with confidence.

Open to intermediates.
Ages 12 to 99.

Part 1: Preliminary exercises

To begin, you will learn how to achieve skin tones using cold and warm colour blends. You will also practice pigment application techniques with coloured pencils. Expect loads of tips and tricks for layering!


Part 2: Creating a face with coloured pencils

In Part 2, you will explore colour blending, light and shadow in skin tones, as well as transitional colours. Julie will tell you what to do and what to avoid for best results.


Part 3: Final touches

To end the workshop, you will add the finishing details to your work. Julie will show you how to blend coloured pencils using a solvent. There will also be a Q & A session.

✓ Strathmore® paper pad (gray or beige)
✓ White eraser
✓ Ruler (30 cm)
