There is no better way to travel than with art! Grab your markers and explore your neighbourhood to find a subject that interests you and follow our guide to create a magnificent illustration. The perfect idea to decorate a living room, a bedroom, or even a home office!
MATERIALS:
- Graphite pencil
- Eraser
- Black felt-tip pencil, fine point and water-resistant (Pitt from Faber-Castell)
- Alcohol-based markers (Copic and Touch)
- Black pencil (Prismacolor)
- White fine point marker, opaque ink (Posca)
- Marker paper pad
INSTRUCTIONS:
Step 1:
Use a graphite pencil to quickly sketch your subject.
Step 2:
Trace over it with the black, fine point marker. Let dry for a few minutes and then erase the pencil lines.
Step 3:
Add colour to the drawing with the alcohol-based markers, starting with the lightest shades.
Step 4:
Keep adding marker layers, gradually incorporating increasingly darker colours.
Step 5: Add shadows with the black pencil.
Step 6: Use the white Posca marker to add highlights and brighten your illustration.
