Enamel coated tarnish resistant copper wire. Easily manipulated, it is labeled dead soft on the hardness scale and is ideal for jewellery making and other creative projects. Available in 9 different gauges, and in a variety of colours and finishes, including bare copper, coated copper and silver plated copper.

These wires are made by first plating the copper wire with a precision layer of pure silver. On top of this silver plating, the unique enamel colour and tarnish resistant coating are applied. The silver plating beneath the colour adds an incredible high-shine and brillance to the wire. Although the colour swatches on this page give you a hint of these colours, they cannot capture the actual beauty and intensity that these Silver Plated wires exude. 

Because of the enamel coating the oxidation material will not reach the wire, and the silver plated wires are treated with a non-tarnish finish that will not allow the oxidizer to reach it. The only wire that you could patina would be the "bare copper" as it does not have any coating.
